I am a Christian. Jesus Christ, is the Son of God, begotten through a virgin. Only the New Testament is necessary and authorized by God to hear and receive the knowledge of Jesus Christ (John 6:44-45). God is one in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 3:16-17). There is only one body in the New Testament (Ephesians 4:4), and that one body is the one true church Jesus built (Ephesians 1:22-23; Matthew 16:18). The Bible does not teach that all authority is in the Church. That is false teaching and only draws away would-be-disciples to follow the teachings of men. The Bible teaches all authority is in Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18). The Bible does not promote hate and fear, but faith, hope and love (1Corinthians 13:13). Everything in the Bible is true as Jesus said, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God" (Matthew 4:4).
I became a Christian in 1980 through reading and studying the Bible over a span of two years. My aim and purpose was to read it and accept the words written therein by listening to its word alone without commentary or human opinions. I learned that the Bible explains itself in all areas where I was ignorant or was not able to comprehend certain things. I kept an open mind and I still do.
I wrote a short easy to read book about my conversion to Jesus Christ. I loved alcohol, marijuana, and narcotics. I despised my parents and our government. After taking LSD and running eleven days on speed, dope, and alcohol, my mind began to invert. I became paranoid and imagined many things that were not real. After trying to recover for two years, I could not grasp what my life really was and to what purpose there was in living since there was no God. However, I took a close look at all I had done to recover and realized there was one thing i had not done. I do not make money writing this book. I wrote it to help someone who was messed up like me to help such a one consider the Bible. I named my book A Wanted Man. I hope you read it. As I said before, it is short, easy to read, and every word is true. There is nothing in it that replaces the Bible, rather it is my intent that my story will cause you to take the plunge, open the Bible and read it all. You will not regret it.
